Tabletop Games

I've designed a few fully playable board and card games which will be described below. Playtest reviews were mostly positive.

Shmoodoo is an intentionally strange competitive board game based on the idea of having players choose between performing dares or gaining a number of "Shmoodoo", seven of which would cause one to lose the game. Players take turns moving their animal themed piece according to the roll of two dice and then trying to move Baron Shmoodoo (the grinning mask looking piece) into the same space as another player's piece, to give everyone a chance to "Hex" that player. Hexes are dares provided by cards ranging from trying to keep a funny facial expression for the rest of the game, to speaking in rhyme, to winning a staring contest. Other cards can be used to counter or cancel Hexes while a batch of event cards add just a bit more randomness to the game. Players who've lost the game may continue to take turns, moving Baron Shmoodoo  and playing Hex cards until the game is finally over. Some people who've played it love the game while others now avoid it like the plague.

Heroes of Small Town Inn is a cooperative fantasy card game that simulates a crazy bar-brawl between inn patrons and a horde of nasty invaders. Each player controls one of ten patrons of the only inn in Small Town, who must defend it against the likes of goblins, barbarians, vampires, or such; all while using little more than the patron's personal talents, the help of a few allies, and the various items that can be found lying around the Inn. The players win if they defeat all the invader cards before all 10 Patrons are knocked out and taken out of play. The game utilizes dice to add an element of chance to the combat and sets of invaders are added together for increased difficulty. The game is a nice change of pace from the typical fierce and strategic contests between players.

The Biggest Fish is a whacky, fishing-themed, competitive, card game where players play fishermen out to catch the biggest fish before the end of the fishing season. The game can be likened to a competitive race with both risk management with economic elements. Catching more fish won't win you the game but selling them will gain you money that can be used to buy equpment needed for catching bigger fish or fishing more efficiently. This seems to be the game I've made with the most positive reviews.
